Quick and Easy Wall Art

I first saw this project on HGTV it consists of making a frame and stabling fabric onto it to make some easy and cheap wall art. I spent a total of $15 and that consists of fabric, 2 rectangle frames, 3 square frames and I still had extra wood. I picked out the fabric right away I just love the orange (even if Ryan doesn't like it). I have had this fabric sitting around for months because I didn't know how to make a frame. Solution = Father!

We went to my parents for Spring Break so I brought my fabric along so my Dad could help me out. We went to Home Depot and ran in literally a minute before closing. They were so nice to let us in and even cut my wood so it would fit in the car. I bought a bunch of 2" x 2"s. Father's Tip: hold the wood at an angle and look down it to see if the wood is straight! It works! My wonderful father helped me make these! He didn't do it for me, he showed me how. I had to measure, cut (using a saw!), and I even used the nail gun. Now I know how to make these myself even though I would probably ask my dad to help me again before doing it myself.

Next I laid the frame onto my fabric. Fold the sides up and over and stable using a stable gun. Simple right!? By the way my frames we 15" x 30" the perfect size. Also my Dad helped me make 3 more smaller square frames so I can make more of these.

Then I added a little hook/hanger onto the back, put a nail in the wall and done!

These look smaller in the photos than they really are. I love them and can't wait to turn my apartment into an awesome space. Right now these are the only part of my decor that I like. Hopefully I will be able to finish everything else so my place will look great!
